• Datta, Nath, Varkari etc. sects have special importance in the spiritual tradition of Maharashtra.
• Many Siddha men of the Nath sect removed the superstitions, wrong notions, ignorance in their society and gave peace, happiness and satisfaction to the society and achieved credit with Abhyuda.
• In the same Nath tradition, Samarth Sadguru Yogiraj Sri Shankar Maharaj (~1800 – 1947) an Avaliya Siddha saint was incarnated. The Samadhi of Samarth Saduru Shri Shankar Maharaj is located in Shri Kshetra Dhankawadi Pune.
• But even today Maharaj is doing his work in a divine form on this earth through many officers and men

• Shri Shankar Maharaj does not have  exactly one name.
• They go by many names. He was also known by the names ‘Supdya‘, ‘Kunwarswami‘, ‘Gaurishankar‘ as well as the name ‘Shankar‘. Only these names are known! They may be going by some other names.
• Just as the ‘name’ is not one, so is their ‘form’! In some places he is also mentioned as ‘Ashtavakra‘.
•  The eyes were large, they were straight-armed, they had the habit of sitting with their knees up.
•  “This form!’ In a different sense, ‘Multiple!’

Pt.Dr. Parag Choudhari (M.A.P.H.D., Sangeet Praveen, NET)

Outstanding singing personality. From childhood Learned classical music from U. Dr. Ghulam Rasul Khan Saheb in the Guru-Shishya tradition. Proficient in music, he obtained his doctorate in music while acquiring his tunes in singing while searching for spirituality and performing swarsiddha and received the name Swarasiddhanath. Great passion for singing as well as great passion for spirituality. The discovery of spirituality in singing, attainment and perfection of singing through spirituality resulted in the grace of Guru and Sadguru. Avaliya Guru met in singing and spirituality. U.Dr.Ghulam Rasool Khan Saheb, in singing. He has received Shaktipat Deeksha from Sadhguru Shankar Maharaj to enlighten his life in  Spirituality. By the grace of the Maharaj, he progressed in spirituality and enriched his family of disciples in singing and spirituality, and attained Gurupad by the will of the Sadgurus. In both provinces there is an ongoing effort to impart music and spirituality very skillfully to make disciples.

Pt. Balasaheb Garad Bhum and Pt. Dr. Parag Choudhari Received Sangeet Shiksha from Sambhajinagar.

He is gifted with a rich and melodious voice and his voice has a combination of rhythm and melody.

He has performed classical music at many prestigious festivals in India. Along with classical singing, they perform melodious performances in the form of ghazals, drama songs, thumri bhajans, abhangs. He has won a gold medal at the Youth Festival for Indian Classical Music and has also performed on the TV channel Insync.

Along with Pt.Dr. Parag Choudhari, he has performed in many programs and his audio tapes are also famous. Also in the spiritual field he was initiated by Sadguru Shri Shankar Maharaj and today he has received the title of Gurumauli.
